Tailpipes POP and fire is actually coming out!!??

I have a 94Z , My headers are stock with the borla Y pipe, off road pipe, and the slp catback that has no muffler. Last night I was driving home, my girlfriend was behind me in her car. She said that when my car backfires and "pops" that out of both pipes she saw flames. It happened a couple of times. She said it actually looks cool.

I have had this set up for about 6 months and the car pops and back fires when you are at or above 3000 rpm and shift gears. It also seems to happen more often and at under 3000 rpm when the car is cold.

I know it looks cool but I don't want to blow up. I don't have NAAAAAWWWWWS or anything like that. Any ideas??

Thanks

Is it an M6. If it is i would start down shifting when you are coming to a stop at a light or something at night that way it does it more often. That would look bad ***. Wish my car did that!

They shoot 4-6 inches and if im winning the race when we are threw ill thorw a couple on the opponent. I have tried everything to fix it but i cant so i live with it.

My car does that too... having the Hornies aimed sideways gives it a nice little effect. I put on a little show leaving 2Fast 2Furious tonight. But man I need to get this thing tuned...

I was doing donuts in a parking lot a long time ago, and my buddies said I was throwing flames from the exhaust. I was like WTF?!! I had just made a custom exhaust and gutted the cats, and the car was popping a lot. This winter I was doing a major tuneup, which included plugs and injectors, reprogram. Now the popping is gone!

Yeah... the eclipse does it sometimes...

Probably does it during the daytime but it's only really visible at night.

No cat here either...
