T56 shifter????????

I found a T56 shifter out of a 96 camaro that has a hurst handel, but there are no markings on the base. It has a 3/8 thick steel base and the part that bolts to the base is aluminum. I know its not a stock shifter. Anyone have any ideas on what kind of shifter it is?

are you saying the shift **** says Hurst? or the actual handle? cause if it's a short thow that was available on the SS/WS6 cars than it is a short throw shifter but equipped with the standard stick and a different ****.

i have the unit from an SS, slp sells them, there is a link in my sig

Does yours have the steel base? and the piece above the base is it aluminum? Also there is no adjustment for the stops.
