can anyone tell me if my t5 transmission out of my 94 3.4 liter v6 will handle the power of the lt1 , ive heard the t5 borg warner was offered in the z28 option also , can anyone tell me if this is true and my trans will handle the power or the lt1 . all replies are much appreciated , thanks

 

The T5 was offered in the 3rd Gen Z28s...

The 4th Gen Zs only got the T56 mostly by Borg-Warner

Not sure of the durability of the T5, but I'd just find a T56 and be done with it

The T-5 will not handle the Torque of the LT1. Not only that it wont bolt up to the T-5 with out a hassle. Go with the T56.
