T/A owners w/Valentine 1 . . .

I'm about to order a Valentine One for my T/A and wanted to know how the rest of you have it located/mounted and whether or not you hardwired it. It seems that the best location to have it would be just below the rearview on the windshield, that way you don't obstruct the "rear" radar locator, but I could be wrong. Any help appreciated, I'm looking for a real clean install but am looking more for function over form in the end.
Thx,
Greg

3 options...w/o wiring it

one, put it right above the rear-view mirror, closer to the drivers side...( i have a cowl hood)

two, put it right in the middle of the windshield or right under the mirror like you said

three, buy a conceled display from v1 (39.99)...useful item to have

you can really put the V1 anywhere you want it, its a great product no matter where it is in your car, i have mine maybe 5 inches from the bottom of the dash on the windshield, sitting low but not to low for the rear detection

I got mine jsut above teh rearview mirrow on the pass side a bit, and Ithink I detect from behind farther then the front, but both are still stupid far.
On the highway there have been times I have picked it up and not pass the cop going the opposite direction for like 2 minutes, thats lots of ground covered.
