Talking Switch to 6-Speed Transmission

Hi guys, I am deeply considering swapping my tranny for a manual 6-speed. I just think it would be more exicting and fun, besides an extra increase in power. What do you guys suggest?
Will I need to make alot of changes besides the usual on my car when swapping to the manual tranny? By the way its a 1993 Transam LT1..

Thanks

For all the cost and pain that would be envolved the best advice I could give would be to sell your ride and buy one with a manual already in it.........unless you have a lot of money in the engine and body of your existing vehicle.

Yah, it would be better just to set yours and buy one with an M6 thats exactly what i did. Come out better in the end. Driving a stick is more fun, a little better gas mileage, but you better trust your driving skillz. Don't be surprised if your not consistant at the track right off, it takes time. And losing a race because your dumbass missed a gear is the worst.

agreed, better just to start fresh if your investment thus far is minimal...

I switched mine over, but if i were to do it again, I honeswtly dont know. I love my car and would bever think of getting rid of it. It did end up costing quite a bit.

what if you are trading out a automatic for a 6 speed (even swap including all the 6 spd parts for free). Just the labor, would it be worth it? I'm hoping it can be done in under 2 days just b/c I can't afford to pay more lol
