i took mine off, the car tends to sway more in the curves, feels less stable, but isnt that bad, just dont try autocross or taking curves fast, and you will be fine, im used to mine being off now (5 months) now i cant tell its off. but the handling is not as good.

My car handles almost like it did with it. with the exception of 80 mph onramp jaunts... I really don't feel any difference.

Of course, I have good springs and wide tires too.

I just take it off before I go to the track. Try driving around with out it to see if you like it. I prefer to have it on for the street. It was put there for a purpose from the factory.

Many just remove it, if your like most straight line acceleration lovers then you'll probably like it removed. Even though its worse, its not as bad as say a 70 camaro with a swaybar, so your still ahead of the game. I drove without one on my 71 lesabre, took it off since the bushings were all wore out, and it made noises, well I didn't notice a huge loss, but I'm not a corner carver. Just note that most of the time the endlink bolts just snap off cause they get rusted, so keep in mind you might have to buy some new ones for 20 bucks.

I took mine off a couple months ago and have no problem with it but i would suggest getting a strut tower brace it really stiffened the front end up, and also made it turn like the sway bar was still there. just my $0.02

So why take it off in the first place? What does it help?

Removing the front swaybar frees up 12 pounds of dead weight, and allows for better front-rear weight transfer. It allows the nose to rise easier, and thus plants the rear tires. Best used in conjunction with a traction-enhancing tire.
