Suspension mods.....

K guys...my motor is done as you all know. I got my LCA's and brackets. I was wondering what are the first mods I should do for better handling. Not strip action but more for cornering and dare I say...road racing.

subframe connectors and a strut tower brace will definitely help tighten up the suspension

Well dare I say, you made a bit of a mistake on the LCA relocation brackets. According to Sam Strano and some other hard core road racers, with front end modifications that will make the car handle significantly better, you will get oversteer with the lower control arm brackets. You will get a bit of roll-understeer with the front pivot point lower than the rear (axle mount), this will help promote a bit more stability in the turns.

A torque arm would help out a lot with acceleration, also sway bars, springs and damper setups are crucial. The compromise between race and street is made there.

Too bad you didn't wait for my LCA and Panhard rod kits... a couple board member are snagging the $380 kit for less than a $50 for testing.

Can you explain this to me more? I'm interested.....I know my friend needs an aftermarket panhard bar and upper brace to clear true duals over the axle.

They are made of aluminum, QA1 rod ends, designed after Jon in the autocross forums design. Good for anything our cars can throw at them, you'd tweak the body before they would break.

They are quality rod ends, about $40 a peice, very nice peices indeed. Weighs in at about 8lbs lighter than stock for everything.

Well the way I figure...I got more problems with wheelhop than I do with ripping a turn at 80 mph. I don't do road racin but if I did, I'd want my car to handle. I tend to nail her every other weekend.
