Better than paying the stupid amounts people were wanting for the LT4s. How ever I cant see the point in getting that for the LT1 Intake manifold, they are cheap and can be found every where for well under a 100, free if you use your stocker. If your doing heads, may as well keep the stocker and have who ever is doing the heads go over the stock LT1 intake bet it would be a lot better and cheaper than going with the Edelbrock LT1. $537 can get you a prety well worked LT1 manifold from most porters. Dont think they made any real improvments other than offering a LT4 replacement at twice the price as what GM used to charge for the stock LT4 while they were still being produced. People have ran 9s on the GM LT1 intake manifold, both NA and on a power adder, albeit being very well worked LT1 manifolds. Just hard to see why any one would pay money for an LT1 replacement, LT4 I can under stand due to the lack of availibility at the gouging prices, but not the LT1.

Yikes that is pricey. Stock LT1's are a dime a dozen and can be easily port matched to just about any heads. And they make great power. Unless you're going after some sort of max effort setup, I can't see the Edelbrock piece really being worth that price.

"These Edelbrock Performer RPM Air-Gap LT1/LT4 intake manifolds utilize a proven short runner tunnel-ram style that provides that next level of performance you have been looking for. They are both direct stock replacements for OEM equipment with all required emissions features. The Edelbrock Performer RPM Air-Gap LT1/LT4 intake manifolds are manufactured from aluminum and feature a natural finish. Edelbrock's patended Air-Gap design delivers a cooler and denser air stream for maximum power output. They are designed to work with either stock, 52mm or 58mm Edelbrock throttle bodies, and will accept OEM fuel rails"

This is from Summit. they will be shiped 1-26-07.

Sounds like a bunch of marketing jargon to justify the overabundance they are charging.
