Summit 58mm TB Sticky??
Summit 58mm TB Sticky??
I just completed the LE2 setup in my sig, along with a Summit 58mm TB and it is running quite well, with the exception that the idle frequently wants to stay up at 2000rpm or above. If I blip the throttle, it usually comes down and settles itself nicely around 1100 rpm.
Incidentally, the car is an M6.
My Question is, is this just a case that I need to increase the tension on the throttle return spring and/or grease the TB/wait for the TB clearances to work themselves in, or do I need some programming?
It doesn't seem logical to me that it is a programming issue, since it will settle down to 1100rpm as soon as I goose the throttle (and I don't think the computer has a way of keeping the idle up at 2500 or 3000 rpm anyway).
Other than that, it's pretty fricken' sweet (ignorant). Thanks to all, especially Saint Shoebox for the tremendously helpful information.
