Suggestions for head/cam combo?

I am looking for a little more power out of my 93 z28 A4 so I was planning to do a head/cam swap.
I'm not sure if I want to port the stock heads or buy a new pair, but would probably take the more cost effective route, if there isn't much too gain in an aftermarket head.
I will probably add some headers at the same time.

Anyways I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times before, but could someone recommened a good cam/head combo with estimated hp?

Where do you think I would be at now power wise? (mods are in sig)

Any suggestions or comments are appreciated.
Thanks.

I would port the stockers, plenty of power that can be gained by doing so. A couple of the big porters are www.eportworks.com and www.advancedinduction.com. Depending on what kind of setup you end up doing you can be anywhere in the 380-400rwhp range, maybe more.

+1 on that.

Whoever you go with, listen closely to their cam choice.

if i were you, i would look into cam only packages if your trying to stay on some sort of budget. Because a h/c package alone is gonna run you close to 3k once you get all the rockers, gaskets, fluids, supporting mods etc for the heads. Not to mention once you start putting that kind of power down you have to make sure your clutch, rear, injectors.. etc can handle it. So when all is said and done your prob looking at close to 5 or 6k maybe even more. With a basic cam package you can put down some decent power for a grand and don't have to worry to much about supporting mods. You can run pretty well on a mail order tune for cam only which saves you almost 400 right there.

Look into AI's cam only kits, they come with everything you need. I don't know why they aren't more popular.
