suggestions for first mods??
suggestions for first mods??
ive had 4 ls1 cars but this is my first lt1. its a 97 30th anniversary z28 a4 with 60k miles and its totally stock. i wont be going internal, but gimme some good bolt on mod suggestions to help this bitch breathe a lil. thanks
Re: suggestions for first mods??
Since it's a m6 I would say the first mod to do would be the pro 5.0 shifter. Wow what a difference it makes. Also a good set of tires will help you alot if you race it regularly. I suggest a set of BF Goodrich drag radials if you do mostly street driving. To help it breathe better, I recommend a CAI and exhaust cutout just to start off, with a set of full length headers if you have the money. You can get short or mid-lenghts too, though if you find a great deal on some, anything is better than the stock manifolds.
Re: suggestions for first mods??
gears, exhaust, and cai are good mods to start with. gears will give the most noticable performance change, but headers and cat back will make the car sound much better.
Re: suggestions for first mods??
turbonator...
the add said 35hp to any camaro or firebird

j/k
just do the same basic mods as any car...easier air in, easier exhaust out.
what kind of budget are we talking?

Re: suggestions for first mods??
i would suggest cai intake then cba and then sub frame connectors...
i went with just the most basic engine mods then i went for the suspension just so i could keep the car on the ground better.....
then if you have had an ls1 and went to an lt1 like i did you will notice a huge diff in the braking. get some big brakes for this car... good luck and have fun
