Sucking noise + hesitation

When I floor my car from TPS=0 (ie. idle or cruising) I hear a sucking/wooshing noise for a split second and during that time there is no throttle response, after that it will get with the program. Any idea what could be causing this? I can't find any vacuum leaks and can't hear any air noise when the car is just idling.

CAI is the woosh... i dont know what kind of power adders you have but it sounds like you may be running a little rich and thats why you hesitate on throttle response.. just my .02

Check the intake elbow for proper fit or cracks, especially at the bottom of the throttle body.

Great, thanks for the replies. That could definately be the problem- last time I put it on I really muscled it(was too lazy to take off the donkey dong)... Will have to check
