From outside and under the car it just sounds like an exhaust rattle. It echos through the pipes. Using a mechanics stethoscope the sound is coming from the #2 primary. Sound from the primary is kind of a grinding rattling sound. So I pull the #2 wire, sound is still there. listen to valve cover and nothing. Nothing through the head or side of the block. The only place you can hear it is through the header primary. The sound speeds up with the motor.

Anybody have any idea?

Update:

The sound now quiets down when the plug wire is pulled but can still only be heard through the exhaust and nowhere else. It is a higher pitched grinding rattling noise.

Am I wrong to assume this is the #2 piston pin?
