Stumble...bad.
Stumble...bad.
My car is doing some major stumbling....definitely a miss of some sort. just recently changed the plugs and wires with some NGK TR-55's and some Bosch stock type 7mm wires. i made sure the gap was set at .050 and still the car stumbles. I was thinking about replacing the ignition coil, but am not sure if that would help at all. i may replace the plugs and wires again, but i am not really wanting to. any ideas suggestions...i also don't want to change my opti either, but in the end i may have no choice.
thanks in advance

I have just gone through exactly what you describe the car stumbled when I stabbed the throttle, then it would pick up and run cleanly through to the red line.
Like you I changed the plugs no difference then I changed the pluge wires no difference. By now it was running so bad I thought I had crossed the plug wires so I checked them using a continity tester from one end to the other. cause you can't see where the even number ones go!
The car ran so bad I had to park it up!
Then I finally I changed the opti and that was it car runs stronger than ever before.
Got mine from Jason Cromer at Sam Taylor Buick and Cadillac Florida $215 not bad.

stumble
It's not as bad as you might think. It takes about 4-5 hours
but it is easier than changing the plug wires
Try this link it has a step by step guide with pictures made the job easy

Thats not even hard :P. I had my opti off in 30 minutes, install took 30 minutes. Its cake. You guys make it sound like its a nightmare... Drain coolant, pull off intake elbow, remove waterpump, impact wrench balancer, knock balancer off with rubber mallet. TA DUH, opti.
You want to know the hardest part? If you just bought a cap and rotor, getting the god damn cap off is a bitch.
