Is the stud/bolt that attaches alternator brace to intake extra long?

After doing my springs and intake then putting it all back together I noticed the nut barely has any threads to affiix onto the intake stud/bolt that holds the alternator brace (black V-shaped brace). I had the intake seal redone back in '98 and maybe the guy lost the original and just put a regular intake stud that has a little extra threads over the nut. There is no stud that is any longer, all the stud/bolts (don't know the real name of these) are the same length so it's not like I can take it from another spot. It only barely catches the nut with maybe a full turn of the thread so I've already stripped one nut. Could someone please check to see if this stud/bolt is extra long and sticks above the top nut a bit?

The threads on mine stick out around 1/8th of an inch. I think it was just a 3/8th threaded stud. You could probably buy one in your local auto parts store. You need to put thread sealer on it when replacing it.

Thanks for the replies and pics! Yep, the guy must have replaced it with a regular one. He even broke one of the braces to the traction control unit (hangs over the driver side valve cover). This is all why I hate anyone else working on my car anymore.
