I own a 95 Firebird Formula convertible. I was thinking about adding a strut tower brace. How useful is this for normal street driving?

 

It is not a necessary suspension upgrade, but it will help when weaving in and out of traffic. I would get SFC's before you get a STB. They will help out with handling and also traction.

 

Me too. But a stb is a worthwhile mod, it sharpens up the steering a bit.

Yes, the STB will help with body flex / cornering. It will not help your drag times, in fact, it will add weight to your car. Not preferred for drag racing. Good for corners.

Many different styles. I went with Hotchkis. BMR is good too.

 

They will also lessen dash rattles and such. I made mine out of aluminum which only weighs 2.5 pounds. Check it out at the webshots link.

Pardon my ignorance, but what does "SFC" stand for?

 

SFC = sub frame connectors
