Then another time we used cat h beams in a stroked bbc. After about 6-8 passes we noticed oil pressure dropping off alot. Pulled the engine, and all around the rod ends and the cap was burnt black and smelled horrible, bought a new crank, eagle h beams, and once again no probs and still running the same engine (with a best 1/8 et of 5.91) for over 2 years now.
I have been running cat stuff for a long time know no problems
Also have used their rocker arms on many cars without problems.
(Not sure how the rocker would cause a bent pushrods unless installed incorrectly can you say why you think the rocker arm was to blame)
As for the rods it seems to me what you described was in correct install or bearing clearance problems... again Eagle items come out of the same factory
Re: stroker question
You won't convince me that cat products are of the same quality as eagle/scat. There were no installation errors, the machine shop did the big block so I can't really vouch for that (just thought it was wierd that when the rods were replaced we didn't have the problem again). On the rockers, I believe they couldn't handle the lift of the cam, once again when we put good quality rockers on there they were fine. You can think whatever u want, I know I will not buy the cheap **** ever again (not worth my time, money or hassle)
