I have a strange vibration occurring at about 3100 or 3200 rpm. It usually occurs when i'm going above 80 or so and presents itself as i'm gradually accelerating. It makes the whole car vibrate. I have been running with a gutted cat and open cutout, which generates a whole lot of rattling things around. Could this have made something loose to cause the vibration. Or is it a bigger problem? Any thoughts are appreciated.

 

thats sounds like the simplest problem possible...


get your tires/wheels balanced


your driveshaft could need to be balanced too but that too, is simple...

i suggest wheels first im 95% sure thats it

 

I second the above post. Could just be that one of your tires is out of balance. Could also be a driveshaft issue, but most likely tire out of balance.

 

Yeah i did just get a new set of wheels/tires so i'll definately look into that. THanks
