Strange Vibe?

Ok , I am new here, I have a question hoping someone had this issue in the past.
I bought this 1993 Z28 a few weeks ago. It has been in a garage and out of rain/snow for the past 10 years. Great car, runs fantastic. has a shift kit Flowmaster and Moroso CAI. Body is a 10. BUT, it has a nasty vibration. Not a miss, or fuel issue at all. Just a vibration like maybe mounts are bad. Worse at idle than when moving, but even when you hit the starter you can feel the raw grunt of the engine in the butt dyno.

Anyway, I checked the engine mounts...looks like they are stock original 19 year old car. Any thoughts? maybe tranny mounts, I do know the Original owner had the transmission rebuilt with a Corvette Servos. It only has 10k miles on it!

I am new to Bowties, but reading up. At 45, I am back from a round of decades of Honda owning, and a old 5.0L guru from the late 80's

thanks for any help....

Re: Strange Vibe?

When I bought my car, it vibrated really badly when the car was cold and it was in drive or reverse.

The problem for me was the transmission mounts. Easy to replace.

Hope this helps!
