Strange electrical problem....

Strange electrical problem....
I have a 94 Z28... At times, after I shut my car off, pull my keys out and it sits for a few minutes, I'll hear a fast clicking sound coming from under the dash on the drivers side... Also the display on my radio is on (original radio)... If I open the door the clicking stops and the display on the radio goes off.. Anyone have a clue what this might be?
