strange annoying problem after 52 mm tb install

I now have a noise coming from my moros cai that sounds like it has a damn hairdryer in it, at first i thought maybe it was the air pump so i pulled the relay for it and its still there. the noise is the worst at start up but once the car warms up to temp it settles quite a bit but it is still there, anyone else have this happen?

Have you tried putting the old tb back on? Just a guess but from the description it sounds like you don't quite have everything things sealed up tight, a leak at the air filter, maf, or the elbow.

Is your tbody a bbk? Your probably experiencing the infamous "throttlebody whistle". I had the same thing when I first installed a bbk 52mm tbody. I believe the older designs suffered from this problem. Since I have ram air on the car, the damn thing sounded loud and people thought I had a blower on the car. You could try to adjust the iac counts by adjusting the throttle screw. That might help a little, but if it doesn't go away then you will have to do some home made mods to get rid of the sound. If you look at the front of the tbody, the holes that go to the iac motors probably look like they were drilled and that's it. The sharp edges need to be rounded a bit with a file so the air flows smoothly into the holes. That will stop the annoying whistle. Hope this helps.
