straighten steering wheel with ?
After aligning my car at a good frame shop they got the wheel off to the left by about 10 degrees, can i just change the tierods an even amount till it's right? As in go 1 turn to the left on each tierod till it's straight? The car tracks pretty good. I just hate to spend the time at shop.

You are correct that the tie rods control the position of the steering wheel. Your shop shold have centerd it for you-that is part of the alignment process at any decent shop. they should take care of it for you.
I don't recommend moving the steering wheel on the steering shaft. Your car should be in the middle of the steering rack when the wheel is straight ahead. Let the shop fix it as it was supposed to be.
BTW, I have done what you were suggesting and it worked fine for me.
Just be very exacting.

shoebox, i have the same problem as rckrzy1, and was wondering how you did that tierod move thing you were talking about. did you just jack up the front end? how do you know how far the tie rods can go?
I'm having that problem with mine too. When driving straight the steering wheel was tilted to the left. Well I've had it aligned twiced from two different places and it still rides that way. I tried to reposition the steering wheel on the shaft and it ended up being off the same amount in the opposite direction. I attempted to do the tie rod procedure but was unable to break the nut loose on the tie rod end. I think I'm gonna load it up with liquid wrench or something and try it again though.
