Straigh pipes are shaking at certain rpms...why?
I just installed my pace setter long tubes and have straight pipes. Well, technically they aren't straight but the two pipes are not connected in any way. I have them dumped before the axel as well. Ive noticed that at certain rpms or on the down side of a small rev the pipes will shake. It is noticeable inside the car through the steering wheel. Almost feels like a wheel out of balance but i know it is the exhaust because I visually confirmed it.
I was thinking that since there is no equalizer tube that, that some how is responsible for the shaking. What are your thoughts about that? Could that be the cause or do you think it could be something else? I talked to the exhaust shop that did the work and they would be able to weld up a 2" equalizer tube if I wanted.

How are the pipes supported? I've got two straight pipes, with turndowns before the rear axle, and have not had a problem. Each pipe is supported at the axle end.

Nice set up! Ill have to post pics of mine later, however my pipes bend twoards the DS tunel and run along the tq arm and ds. My pipes are supported by two hangers bolted to the bucket portion of the floor pans where the rear passenger seats are. Pics pending for better clarification.
