Stock Timing
I noticed that...lol. but is there a guidline to follow like at idle? I thought i read somewhere on here that it should be between 28-30. I have an after market engine with what i believe to be the factory tuning, but at idle my timing is much lower then this, and i have crappy short times compared to cars similar to mine. thought it could maybe be related. I have recently installed n20, im running 100 shot with np, no knock. I have a laptop hooked up to my obd and can monitor my timing, just wondered is there like a stock setting at idle, or on these types of pcms is there no standard and the comp just decides?
Thanks.
Thanks.
No, there are closed TPS timing parameters. Let me check my Tunercat bin files.
Stock closed TPS spark advance in my 94 Y-body LT1 is 20* at 800 rpms. I have added 4* for a total of 24* at 800 rpms in my modified tune.
