stock tach

i have me pcm tuned and it is supposed to shift at 6600 and revlimitor is at 6800...but the other nite i was at the track and saw the tach as iwas crossing the lines and it was at 7000+ looked about 7150????
i hope my tach is for some reason FASTER than what real rpm are???
but i thought they were typically slower
thanks

Re: stock tach

My tach reads ~200rpm higher than the scanner indicates at idle. I used to be a little concerned about a +/-1000rpm idle, but 800 seems right for an M6.
