? on stock rockers with LT4 cam

I have a valvetrain noise that I think is the Rocker arms ticking. I set lash a couple of times and still has noise. I've set them both ways with engine warm and running (tighten to zwro lash plus 1/4 turn and went back and set at 1/2 turn to with a slight noise) and also by the method of #1 top dead center. When I set it with 1/2 a turn past zero lash it did get better but was afraid I might hurt lifters. I was told with a bigger cam and having stock rockers that I would have the noise. Is this true? I plan on getting RR this winter, Should I worry about it for now with out huting motor.
Also how much difference will it make when I get my heads done compare to LT4 cam to stock heads.

My car is fine with a bigger cam and the stock rockers. Are you sure its not the injectors ticking?

If you are running a bigger cam on the stock rockers then I would wager that you did not change the stock valvesprings either. If you do a cam swap it is SOP to change the rockers/valvesprings/timing chain, etc. Why would you want to use the stock rockers with the Hotcam anyway. I would finish the swap asap before you do run the risk of screwing the motor up. And it will be a big differance after you get the heads done.

I have upgraded springs. The stock rockers work great for my setup, the car flys.

No I have the LT4 springs for now, will be getting heads done some time and thought those will good for now and were cheap.I have a double roller chain upgrade along with E/P, new lifters, and tune from pcmforless.
Its not injectors its the rockers. Like I said it got quieter when I reset to 1/2 turn past zero lash. I don't know if thats to much, but it seem to help some.

The adjustment on SBC's is very forgiving. You can go up to 3/4 turn past zero. I always run mine at ~ 1/2 turn though. 1/4 turn is a hair on the sloppy side IMO and leads to having to get back in there and re-adjust sooner than if you just put it at 1/2 turn. 1/2 turn leaves some room.
