Stock ported tb

Car is a 97z. M-6. I recently changed to a 52mm tb from the stocker. I had no issuies with the 48mm. I've been searching and doing tests for a idle that wants to stick. The way I have it ajusted now it will idle at 900 out of gear.. It also idles down to 1100 and sticks and returns to 900 with a tap. If I start it pop the hood and push the shaft towards close it will idle 800-850 like it should. Am I not going about this insall the correct way or did I waste $160?

Re: Stock ported tb

if you have the idle screw out too far, it will take longer to return to the true idle. if the idle screw in not out far enough, it will bog. the best way to do this is a road test. drive down a good 45-55mph road that is at least a few minutes long. then pull off to the side or to a stioplight or whatever. if the idle remains higher than it should, your idle screw is out too far. if it bogs down quickly and then jumps back up to regular idle, you have the screw set in too far. hope this helps
