Stock Oil Pan replacement...

I am looking to replace my stock oil pan with a chrome oil pan, however I wasnt sure If we had to get a certian pan because of the cross member problem that we run into with most pans.

I was curious if a 86 year and up pan would work fine or if our oil pan is made specially for our lt1's. If someone could clarify this I would appreciate it.

Here is an example of a pan I was looking at for a replacement stock pan.

Thanks.

it should fit, the only problem would be that it does not have a spot for the low oil sending unit.

Re: Stock Oil Pan replacement...

Thats ok, I broke mine when I pulled it out doing the rebuild. I can more than likely program it out and just check my oil level manually. I dont have any need for an oil light. If I am running it that lean on oil I am going to have more problems than just a little light flashing at me.

Thanks for the info, now I can get that chrome oil pan.
