Z-28 and corvette are aluminum

Depends on the car. F-bodys and vettes came with aluminum and the rest of the LT1's in Caprices, Impala's etc came with cast iron.

SHEEESH...you're just as bad as those automotive mags...the Trans-Am is also part of the aluminum headed LT1 family!

since we're getting all tecknickel dont forget about the Cadillac Fleetwoods and Buick Roadmasters

F&Y = aluminum

Where did you get D from? The Caprice/Impalla, Fleetwood, and Roadmaster are all on the B body platform.

Caprice, Impala, Roadmaster are b-bodies

Fleetwood is indead a d-body, it has a longer wheelbase(7" in the wheels 13" overall) than the other hence the seperate designation.
