Stock LT1 combustion chamber size?

Hey guys, I'm not sure of what the stock cc of a combustion chamber is...... Need to know for a buddy of mine.

I believe its 58cc but casting differences could probably cause very small difference so a safe bet might be 56-60. Just a guess but I think the 58cc is right.

ltlhomer- Kind of off subject, but what heads and cam were you running with the times in your sig?

xe230/236 with used cnc ported heads (actually bought through thunderracing who sends their headwork to cncheads in Florida originally). They flow 260/190 at .550" lift so they are pretty decent heads considering the tight budget I was on.

Once the t56 goes in I should see high 11's at 115-116 on modest 60' times in the 1.8-1.9 area since I won't have my tranny shifting low, hitting the rev limiter, and all the other stuff I've had to put up with. If I decide to break the rear and run et streets, mid 11's wouldn't be out of the question if I can pull 1.6-1.7 60's. But that won't be until next year. For now, I'll run on nittos w/ the 6 speed once it's in and see if I can break the magical 11-second barrier. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Just a guess but I think the 58cc is right.
Yes, stock LT1 heads have 58cc combustion chambers.
