Stock LT1

I'm just curious what an LT1 M6 or A4 runs stock in the 1/4 mile. No nothing, just stock.

See my sig. My car is completely stock, right down to the paper air filter. In good weather, if your LT1 is in good running condition (new plugs, wires, fuel filter, etc.) then 13s are a breeze on a good track.

Whats a good 60' Time all stock, and is it normal to get a little wheel hop launching when at the track?

Psst..patman..uh..you have an LS1

with a 2.0 or better 60ft you can go high 13s... a decent 60ft and good air your looking at 14.1~14.2 Auto... 13.8~13.9 manual.

Notice how long ago I posted though. At the time I posted it, I had a 95 Formula and it's best ET bone stock was 13.74 at 100mph, with a 2.00 60ft.

Re: Stock LT1

With a totally stock 6 speed and P275-40 tires, did anyone else have to shift into 4th right before the end of the quarter. If i stay in third, Im hard on the rev limiter (14.21@~98mph) for the last 50 to 75 ft. If I shift to 4th, I lose momentum and run slower (14.3@~97).

Re: Stock LT1

bone stock my best time was a 8.64@79.9 1/8 mile w/ a 1.93 60ft. the track was hooking good that night. the car usually ran high 8.80s- low 8.90s w/ 2.0 60 fts. that was with stock 245/50/16 goodyear GSCs.

Not only do you have an LS1, but its also in a Corvette. Big differance between that and a stock LT1 Camaro.

Re: Stock LT1

i got a 94 Z-28 A-4 and i don't think anybody has a worse E.T that mine. 15.4 @ 87 when i first bought the car. i felt so bad that day at the track.

with a new spark plugs, wires, new filter, 2800 stall and 3.73 got me down to 13.4 @ 100 i think.

In addition to the 95 Formula, I have also owned a 95 Trans Am. I bought it new in Jan 96, and with 10k on it I ran it at the track and pulled a 13.94 at 98.8 mph (2.16 60ft) in 100% bone stock trim, right down to the RSA tires! It was a 2.73 geared A4.

Re: Stock LT1

I wish someone would trade me a stock LT1..............my car can only run a 13.5 how it sits with those mods in the sig......go figure. I can't get her to go halfway down the track......I'm like come on don't die on me.....as the other guy starts pulling I give up on making this motor go much faster. I'm going to hit 12.9 and stop, till i can build the stroker.
