Stock lifters in big cam setups

If you were collapsing or putting too much pressure on a stock lifter, what would happen to the car as far as it running?

Would it be similar or cause valve float?

(Sorry, still chasing the top end miss issue)

Yeah, I think it would behave similarly. You'd have a miss if it was collapsing enough. How much spring pressure are we talking? It would have to be a lot to overcome the hydraulic pressure of the oil inside the lifters.

Ill have to look the numbers up, If I recall though I think it was @ 350 open.

I don't believe that's to much for the stock lifters, as long as their healthy.
