Stock lifters
Stock lifters
Hey guys I just bought some 1.6 rr's and I can score some lifters. They are brand new stock replacements but I am wondering if they are good enough to support either a hotcam, cc305, or a cc306 which will be one of the cams I buy. What is everyones thoughts and how much lift can they support before collapse??

(you know its 11/16 right?)
Definitely replace them with either comps or stockers. I collapsed 3 lifters and broke two pushrods in the process just revving to about 6200 on a 224/230 with dual springs. Whats really retarded is that GM wants almost $60 A LIFTER!!!! employee price is still $40 each. Compcams are only $179 for oem replacement.
Yep, I couldnt believe it either, I was just going to use stockers so I wouldnt have to wait to order them, but after that I was like screw that. It says pack of 8, so I figured it was $45 for 8, but its $45/ea and you have to buy 8 at a time, pretty retarded.
Stock replacement lifters are fine. Lingenfelter has decent prices on them. Single prices are $11 each. They are less if you buy a set, but I can't remember the price exactly. $140 sticks in my mind, but I'm not sure.
