stock hood vent...functional??

Jus wonderin', have any of you thought about the stock hood vents, any way to make it functional, at least for the engine compartment to stay cooler?
Any input is welcomed.
Thanks, Matt

you could make it cool off the engine compartment a little but it won't benefit anything really, I wouldn't recommend it.

I dont know that it would help at all unless you were in traffic, although this is at least probably the worst for most people without reprogrammed fans. A cowl hood I believe would be better all around.

there was some talk about that before, but most people agreed it would let too much water in the engine compartment should it rain, and we all know how well our engines like water

Nothing really. The design of the cowl hood is what makes it work so well.

Mallory Billet Aluminum, a sponser of this board sells billet grills to make these functional. I have a set but did not put them in yet. I am waiting for the weather to warm up to do this.
