stock heads won't come off...
Re: stock heads won't come off...
I would not pry or beat on the heads, they are aluminum and are very soft. Mine came off pretty easy. There are 17 bolts in each head, make sure you have all them out and then if ANY prying I'd put some towels around a crow bar and put in the intake ports and GENTLY pry. Good luck.

Make sure you see the alternator bracket on the passenger's side. It has 2 bolts behind the power steering pump that go into the passenger's head and have to come out first!
You can loosen the ps pump through the pulley (2 bolts) and then move it out of the way a bit. How to get the the 2 bolts that go into the head is preference but some guys here (myself included) just carved away part of the alt bracket so that a wrench would fit in there.
Hopefully you already saw this and got around it. I just wanted to throw it out there in case...

To remove the PS pump, you'll notice the pulley has holes in it. You can put the socket through those holes to loosen the two bolts that hold it to the alt bracket.
It doesn't move too far once you get those out though because the lines are solid. It will move just enough to get a wrench on the bolts that go into the head but not enough to get a socket in there. To be able to use a socket you'll have to completely disconnect the pump and move it even farther out of the way
Again, I opted to just carve on the alt bracket a bit and leave it hooked up!
