Stock headed 383 or TEA 355?
Stock headed 383 or TEA 355?
I will be doing an engine build up this winter for a friend of mine, FlyBoy82A on the boards, and we have been talking back and forth what would make more power and what would be faster.
383 w/ ported stock heads and cam(yet to be decided yet)
or
355 with total engine airflows 11 second head/cam package
The car has MAC headers, ORIP, 3.73's, normal bolt ons and is automatic. I have heard alot of good things about TEA. One of my ford friends had Tuley port his Trick Flow heads and say they do awesome work.
I am sure with the TEA package a higher stall convertor will be needed but after driving my 9.5 2800 ACT w/ lockup that won't be a big deal.
I have done searches on 383's but haven't found a good thread yet.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks guys
