stock exhaust
basically, you add it either before or behind your cat
it is a little piece of pipe that starts out as one pipe and splits into 2
you use the first to hook up to your stock exhaust, and the other outlet is just left open
then, you can either let it run through the stock exhaust and block off the "cutout" part of it, or switch it and run it through the cutout and block off the exhaust part
it makes for better performance thru the cutout and lets you choose it to be loud or quiet whenever you want
electric just makes it easier to change from inside your car
look for a pic of it and you'll see what i mean

Hmm.. so you want something extremly cheap and yet sounds good?
How's FREE sound?
If you want to hear how a cut-out would sound on your car, go over to the passenger side and crawl under there. Right next to your tranny, you'll see your y-pipe go into your cat then your I-pipe bolting into the back of the cat with 2 bolts. Take your 15mm socket and unscrew those 2 bolts. Now slide that pipe over out of the way and take something to hold it there. Now go and start up your car.
Sounds good doesn't it?
Pros: Loud and FREE!
Cons: highly illegal, some people don't like the way it sounds, may get old after awhile if you don't truely love muscle cars
but that's just perfect for me..
If you live somewhere where cops are d!ckheads (see: CALIFORNIA!) then I don't suggest this.. I'm not responsible for any tickets...

Well I just recently installed a cutout in the place of my catalytic converter (there aren't any emissions checks here
). It was a bit of a pain to put in because the shop had to custom fit a pipe to complete installation, but overall I like it alot.
The good thing about it is, when it's closed, it sounds only a little bit louder than stock since the exhaust is still running through the stock pipes and muffler, but you still get the benefit of no cats. When it's open though
the sound is just AWESOME. It is extremely loud though and I don't recommend leaving it open for long trips or for daily driving, it will just be too much, and the cops will nail you, guaranteed. Obviously the ideal thing would be to get a electric one, but it is pretty expensive.
