Stock Coil vs Aftermarket Coil

What would the differences be??

I put a crane aftermarket coil in my car and it died within a year so I threw the stocker back in....I cant tell the difference.

I have an accel coil and can tell no difference from it and the stock one.

Is there a way to test a stock coil? Because i was gonna get a msd coil just for a tune up purpose. But if it doesn't make a difference then i rather not spend my money.

Yes, you can measure the reistance across each side of the coil. The specification are listed in a Haynes or Chiltons manual.

I got the msd coil, and it works a little better and looks cool.


I think it is like $45
