So what should a stock 1995 Z28 run? For those that don't know I'm very new to the LT1, so I'm not sure on their stock 1/4 times. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Bone stock cars usually run high 13's to low 14's.

if its an auto Id say 13.9 -14.1
If its a stick 13.9 with a professional driver
14-14.4 with a average driver
14.5 with a relitivly novice driver
Tires are also a factor.

Ok, so my best of 14.9 is a little slow then! She is a convertible though, so I would imagine it is heavier. And I am a experienced driver, not pro but it certainly wasn't my first time. I guess she needs a really good tune up.

you usually don't see times higher than very low 14's.... you should try the basic stuff, oil change, air filter, plugs/wires/coil.... more than likely something is wrong.

Verts will be a few tenths slower, and what rear gears do you have assuming you have an auto? This could play a part also.

The "slowest" stock LT1 convertible I've seen run was a 14.3 @ 98.xx with a 2.2 60'...what was your mph and 60' time, that may tell some of the story. Auto or manual, mods?

My mods are none so far. My mph was 95.54 and I beleive my 60' was in the 2.2 range. I did notice under hard throttle she hesitates shifting gears, she seems to jump in the rpm just a little before she shifts. It that normal, has it happened to anyone else?? My gears are 2:73 and she is an auto.

The elevation is sea level, and the air temp was 25-30 degress C*, that would be in the 80's F* for my american neighbours.

i have seen lt1's go from 13.8's to 15.1 in the hot texas heat. my car went 14.4-14.5 stock. now with just a cut out and cai it goes 13.8 w/ no tires. what im saying is work on your 60' and get good tires. part of the problem is your 60' and the weight of your car, work on the 60' get a catback, and a cai with just those your 1/4 will drop .2-.5!!!!!!!!also try some free mods, you wont see big gains but every little helps.

Well, just for a reference, mine's a t-top so I have a little less weight, but stock with A4/2.73's/street tires it ran 14.0@99 with a 2.2 in about mid 80's temps at sea level.

Your mph definitely sounds low to me, but that could just be minor tune plugs/wires/airfilter/tire pressure/extra crap in the car, type stuff. <shrug>
