Stock 93 pushrods with guide plates?

I have heard that the factory pushrods in the LT1's up until 95 were hardened pushrods. If this is the case, would it be safe to use these with Non-self aligning roller rockers and guideplates? I know I'd just be better off buying a new set but I'm getting WAY over budget on this new motor

Thanks for any advice,
Rob

Yes, you can use the factory hardened pushrods from your 93 with a NSA setup. I'm running my stock pushrods along with GMPP guideplates, and its fine. I know a few people doing the same
