I have a 1996 camaro with 79,000 miles. I have cold air intake mac mids, no cats, loudmouth, stock 3.23 gears. Last time at the track i went a 13.5 at 101mph and now i went a 13.9 like 3 times in a row because it is missing above 5k. I have new talyor wires, new ngk 555 plugs, new coil wire, new msd coil. It starts easily and idles smooth it just misses up top. Could this be my opti? Could it be a dirty injector? I know that the car needs a tune really bad because of the exhaust it runs rich but could that be causing it to miss? Thanks i just dont wanna buy a opti and that not be it.

 

Have you replace the fuel filter lately? Could be that.

 

HAve you checked for vacuum leaks?

it could be the fuel pump, couldnt it? pm me whenever you come up with a solution, mine is a 93 and it does the same thing

 

forgot to tell you guys that it has a new GM fuel pump with like 4,000 miles on it.
