Stickiest 285-40-17 tire or similar?

I would like to know what is the stickiest tire there is for a 17" wheel..

I have the firestone ez50ep and they work wonderfully. BUt I have 2 extra zr1 rims and I would like to have a sticky tires when racing and not necessarily the track...

Let me know what would be the best buy for those...

Nitto Drags wont hold a launch of a 600rwhp car so I would like something even better.

well with 600rw, youre going to be able to spin pretty much ANY tire.

if you want a street tire.......the bfg drag radials are gonna have the most grip.

they come in a 275/40/17, and a 315/35/17

if you need more grip, youll have to use an actually ET street slick.

Actually I want an ET street slick but I do not want it on a 16" wheel..

I have 2 additional wheels (ZR1) for the back when I go to race or something... Stock ones I keep for everyday every situation...

Also a cool or cold tire, so no burnouts needed...

michelin pilot sports are sticky as crap but they are really expensive....they do come in 285's though. with that much power though....you are gonna find a tire that will hook much better on that rim.

Perhaps with a 600 rw car you should know what choices are for gripping, and with 600rw, nittos and bfg's are out of the question on a 17" rim. If you are looking for just a tire to get you around most tires with a wear rating of 200 or less will be best (Nitto DR's are 100 and BFG DR's are 0)

Now What I would do if I were you, buy some 15" or 16" wheels cheap and get some ET Streets. You chould perhaps try the 17" ET Street (yeah they DO make one)

ET Streets and ET Drags are almost the same except ET Streets are DOT legal and have little grooves in them so cops can't cry about them. As far as water is concerned, Driving in rain with ET Streets or ET Drags is pretty much suicide.

How long does a 100 tread wear rating equate to roughly on the Nittos? 10,000 miles? How are the Nittos in the rain?

FOR ME, and for most of my friends feel the same, but my nittos were better in the rain than any other street tire. Light years better than my F1's. Hard use on nittos last me about 5 months. These nittos on my car now have been on there for a year and a half cause I don't beat the car up.

I highly recommend them.

If I knew I wouldn't be asking questions ... I usually race on a roll.. 70 up... first and second are out of the question...

I dont want a 16" tire... I want a sleeper look if possible... If DRs is the only thing available then so be it... The thing is that I am not using this tires for EVERYDAY use, for everyday use I will still use the firestone ez50ep that have worked wonderfully on the rain. THey will be used in special ocasions.

Something that will allow me to not spin THAT much when racing 20 roll or such with 4.11 gears.
