steam pipe removal.
I was actually just going to post up about the technique I used which took only about 10 minutes to get them both off.
Take a box wrench w/ the closed side on the nut so its sticking up in the air, then I took a 5lb mallet and wacked the wrench a couple times until It cracked the nut. Did that on both nuts and worked like a charm, no extreme force exerted by me to break them. On the driverside one I just had to use a regular box wrench to keep unbolting it. On the passenger side I could get a ratcheting box wrench on it which made it go super fast.

I had to end up cutting mine off because after using the box end wrench and beating on it with every thing I could throw at it. I even used PB Blasting on them and let it soak on them for 3 days spraying them a couple of times. I went to the junk yard and got a another steam pipe off a buick roadmaster for $5 GM dealership was about $80. For some reason that one come right off I don't know if was because of the steal heads or not.
