i replaced my starter, but it still is hard to get it started. it gets worse the later in the day and more times i try to start it. it will crank and try to start, but i have to give it gas to actually start.

 

Sounds like a weak fuel pump or weak ignition system.

 

i have not driven it yet today, but i replaced the engine coolant temp sensor. i know it has something to do with the efi, any chance that coulda been it?

 

No, check your spark and listen to see if the fuel pump runs when u turn the key on.

 

I am having similiar problems. Plugs and wires didnt cure it. I think its fuel related almost for sure. I am gonna change my fuel filter before I jump in to replace the the fuel pump. Unfortunately I think its the pump.

 

I had similar problems when i had evap line leaks. As the day went on and the car was hot, it got stubborn to start, not to mention the gas smell all the time.
