Starter

Installed a new starter on my 94z last night. I tested it out and it fired right up for me twice, with no issues. Came out this morning and again started right up. However this time when I turned the key to the off position, the starter engaged as if it was trying to start the engine again. It continued doing so for about 2 minutes, and then shut off on its own. I tried it again, and the same thing happened. Never had any issues like this before putting in the new starter. Any ideas?

Check to make sure the wire connections aren't jumping to eachother. It's common for them to jump because when you tighten down the terminals they can rotate toward eachother and almost touch.

I did check that and they weren't touching. I'm wondering if maybe I got a bad starter?
