Are "Standard" plug wires any good?

I went to Parks auto store to get some plug wires for my T/A. I asked for the AC delco brand and they told me they listed at $175! The brand "Standard" which they said were pretty reputable sold for $75, thats still more than what I would expect but $100 difference has me thinking about running them. Thoughts?

Standard is an American company with manufacturing all over North America. However, I can't find that they make their wire and cable products.....they may import them.

To tell the truth I wouldn't use anything but high performance wires on our cars....the routing is too much of a pain to do too many times. That doesn't mean standard wire to me, or even AC for that matter...

I run Jeg's branded wires. They are 30 dollars a set and I've never had a single issue with them. I've been running the same set for around 5 or 6 years. It's getting about time to change them.

Not from problems, just had them on there a while, at least 40k.

They are larger than stock so they won't fit in the factory routing clips.

I'd make sure to purchase a brand you trust, as plugs and wires aren't exactly the most thing to do on a LT1 f-body. I've currently got MSD on my 97 SS. Triple check your wiring before firing it up, don't want to burn any wires!

I run Taylor 8.8's on mine they havent given me any problems, and they are not too expensive, think they were around 80 dollars, I wouldnt run anything but high pro. wires its just not worth the work involved to run oem wires

Standard brand parts have been reputable in the past. I've never used anything but the AC-Delco wires and have never had an issue.
