What is the standard basecircle dia. on stock Lt1 hyd. roller cams. What is a good reduced basecircle cam (dia.) for a stroker buildup for mild Hyd. roller cams for LT1's . Thanks.

 

Tell whowever is building the cam your engine spects and let them tell you what base circle.I know a .930 will not hit in a 383.

 

i come up with 1.231 for the small lobes and 1.245 for the big ones, if im measuring what is called the base circle? going by what 1racerdude says im not...i guess he is measuring the dia. of the shaft itself. i get 1.051-1.053 for that...hope this helped.
