stall wall or not?

Im having a problem with my car thats killing me,Im spraying a 175 shot and its hitting the rev limiter in 1st gear and because of the n2o its back firing through the intake almost shutting the car down.Im now hitting consistant 1.5 60 ft's but cant make a full pass since I have been able to do this. I had the pcm tuned but never thought to get the stall wall problem addressed. It spins to 6800 rpm then breaks up, is it stall wall or bad tranny? it has a 2800 stall converter and I thought that was safe.Without the spray it spins to 6800 as well but doesnt brake up but it does have a soft delayed shift .Please help Im so close to hitting 10's but it seems now im further away then ever.

Sounds like you are trying to spray through the shifts????
A window switch to shut it off beforehand would be a great idea, as well as programming the pcms rev limiter well above what you plan to shift at. The pcm rev limits by cutting fuel, which can easily be fatal to a motor on nitrous, better to program that high and set the limiter on whatever aftermaket ignition box you have a bit lower. I hear good things about the Mallory box, does window swiths job and rev limit as well as retard and all.
