i have a 97 ss, what kind of driveshaft did it come with stock. was it the 1le one or not. im looking at getting a new or anything really ive got mod money burning a hole in my pocket.

 

Steel. The only 93-97's that came stock with an aluminum ds were the 1LE cars.

 

thanks for the info. but now what do you think some good starter mods would be. ive got longtubes tuning flowmaster cat back all the free mods. airfoil UD pulleys and 160 stat w/lt4km. so whats next you think.

 

Auto or M6?

If M6 - 4:10 gears.

A4 - 3:73 gears and or a higher stall converter.

Weld on SFC's really help stiffen these cars.

If you race it much drag radials like Nitto or BFG's are a big improvement at the track over street tires.
