ok i got a tiny prob, i did a waterpump swap and its been going good...today when i tried to go for a cruise i heard a squeaky noise coming from the engine, i checked the belt and its good so now i am thinking is a pully that maybe be a little loose. when on idle and you accelerate it a lil you hear the squeaky noise a bit but when i accelerate it to 3000rpm or when i step on it and gets louder and louder..any ideas on what it may be....im hoping its nothing major..

 

Did you contaminate the belt? Antifreeze, greasy hands, pulley etc.


My tensioner is on the way out, so at startup I get a knock from it slamming up, then when it stops, the belt chirps at idle. New one is in the box here but car went off for paint, so I need to wait.
